Unsure of which printing you have? At the very bottom of the copyright page you will see a series of decreasing numbers that start with the number 10. If the series ends at the right with the number 1, you have the 1st printing; if it ends with the number 2, you have the 2nd printing; likewise, if it ends with the number 3, you have the 3rd printing, etc.

Karabella Aurora 8 is no longer described by Karabella Yarns as being "irrestringible" (pre-shrunk); knitters have reported that the yarn does, as currently produced, shrink when subjected to low heat in the dryer. Please disregard the final paragraph under finishing unless you happen to be working from older yarn labeled as "irrestringible".
Welts 4 - 19 (20, 21)
Welt 35 (37, 38) …. 280 (300, 308) stitches (pattern and schematic).
Please note that the two symbols indicating use of Stockinette Stitch with Eyelets and Stockinette Stitch with Condo Row are misplaced on the outer circle schematic along the line of welt numbers found at the "6 0'clock" position; placement of those symbols is correct in other locations on the schematic.

Revision of note in 2nd welt set to follow heading Inner Collar Edge:
If, following the first neck edge decrease, fewer than 4 stitches remain before the first marker, stop marker-related decreases before the first marker and after the last marker. Finishing, paragraph 2: To create the braid fringe, cut five 18”/45.7cm lengths of yarn, 3 of yarn A and 2 of yarn B. To create the braid fringe, cut five 18”/45.7cm lengths of yarn, 3 of yarn A and 2 of yarn B. Thread strands together through a tapestry needle. With the public side of the collar facing you, identify a stitch at the outer edge of welt 2 where sections G and H (left lapel) or sections D and E (right lapel) meet. Thread the yarn through the fabric so that the needle enters on one side and exits on the other side of that stitch. Remove the needle and adjust the strands of yarn so that all are of equal length and divided into 2 groups of 2 strands on each side with 1 group of 2 strands in the middle. Hold 2 groups in one hand and 3 in the other. *Braid, moving the outermost of the 3 groups held in one hand to the center and adding it to the groups held with the other hand. Repeat from * until braid measures approximately 4”/ 10.2 cm. Tie a simple overhand knot at the end. Trim yarn strands even approximately 1”/2.5cm beneath the knot. Create a second braid, in line with the first, at the inner edge of welt 2, using 2 strands of Yarn B and 3 strands of yarn A. Continue, creating a braid at the outer and inner edges of the even numbered welts in the lapel using the yarns worked in that welt.

Welt 8 (9, 10) Row 1: Work in pattern to last marker, slip marker, work 31 (31, 29) stitches, use Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off method to bind off 6 (8, 14) stitches, work remaining 31 (31, 29) stitches. Break yarn. Slip 31 (31, 29) stitches just worked back on to left needle. (Note: this action repositions the beginning of row going forward.) Change to working-flat version of Welted Stripes with Eyelets stitch pattern. Rejoin yarn. Row 2: Decrease 1 stitch at beginning and end of each row (collar edge). Row 3, sizes one and three only: Decrease 1 stitch at beginning of row, then begin eyelet row (work 2 stitches together, YO) and continue until two stitches remain on needle, decrease 1. Row(s) 4 (3-4, 4): Decrease 1 stitch at beginning and end of each row (collar edge) and, at the same time, continue decreasing at markers on last row as established. 346 (360, 370) stitches.

When decreases from one side of a marker consume its position, remove the marker and stop decreases related to that marker.) 116 (128, 138) stitches.
