"Hundreds of different yarn companies, needle brands, books, websites and designers were nominated to determine the finalists in the five categories offered for the 2012 Readers' Choice Awards, and in turn thousands of knitting enthusiasts cast their ballots to determine the winners", said Sarah White, editor of About.com Knitting in announcing the winners in the recently completed Readers' Choice Awards. It was thrilling to be nominated in both the Favorite Knitting Book and Favorite Knitwear Designer category but who would have imagined a self-published book by a previously unknown designer could end up the winner in both categories? And yet that's just what has happened! I'm absolutely thrilled and extremely honored. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who took the time to vote.
